Volunteer Action Center Mobilizing People and Resources
The Volunteer Action Center of Indian River County, Inc., operating as part of a national network, serves as the local advocate and coordinating center for voluntary action, mobilizing people and resources to better our community.
The Volunteer Action Center was founded in Jaunary 1993 by the Junior League of Indian River County as is a United Way Agency. Through a membership in the national Points of Light Foundation, the VAC joined a network of 500 plus volunteer centers nationwide. Over 300 organizations and agencies have registered their needs for volunteers with the VAC.
